Our well-trained technical staff provides authorized warranty repairs, dockside services and custom installations. So many of our customers spend the boating season along the Connecticut shoreline and we understand that troubles arise--sometimes even in the midst of a vacation, which is why we have a mobile technical team that can be most anywhere along the coast within a couple of hours, if necessary. Engine Maintenance
As Crusader and Volvo Penta certified dealers, our techs receive the best training direct from the manufacturers and are equipped to provide state-of-the-art repairs and routine maintenance using the most current technology available. Portland Boat Works also relies on its long-standing relationships with an outside network of factory-trained Caterpillar, Mann, DDEC, Volvo and Cummins engine technicians to provide a full range of engine maintenance for its customers.
Repair and Re-Powering Needs
When it comes to repairs, our techs have the training and equipment to tackle it. We can repower a vessel or get to the root cause of a leaky pump. We are fortunate to have professional and knowledgeable techs who are happy to help in any way they can. We employ ABYC certified technicians with a broad knowledge base of skills.
Electronic Installations and Repair
When a new boat sale requires state-of-the-art electronics installations, our technicians are able to accommodate—even the most complicated technical applications. We are proud to be a Raymarine Certified Dealer and routinely repair, upgrade and reconfigure existing systems to work with ease and reliability. Got a question about your GPS? Your satellite TV not responding? And how about your Sirius weather radio? Our techs are trained and willing to help.
Carpentry Work
Portland Boat Works has a long history of superior craftsmanship in woodworking. We specialize in projects—large and small—from adding an additional few feet to the middle of your boat to making that new flat screen TV look like it was made for your boat, or building that one-of-a-kind table to your very own specifications. Fiberglass Repair
To match color and texture in gelcoat is tricky business, but not impossible for our finish specialists. Dent, dings, add-ons and even major overhauls are no match for our skilled team.

Love teak trim? We can make it shine like new and last all season using the most up-to-date methods and products on the market. We have lots of experience with today’s hard finishes, such as Awlgrip.
